Dog Treat Sales Lead to Cash ‘Toys for Tots' Donation

How do the students in Kay Fick's class at James Madison Elementary School beat the long winter blues? By helping other kids and dogs.

The students made healthy dog treats and packaged them festively for the holiday season during a recent manufacturing unit. They then sold treats to students and staff at a cost of $.25 each. The profits, $60, were donated to the local Toys for Tots Program.
