Horace Mann Student Visited By Wisconsin's First Lady
W., a seventh-grade student at Horace Mann Middle School, was recently
chosen as the winner of the "Where in Wisconsin is Jessica Doyle?"
"Where in Wisconsin is Jessica Doyle?" is
a weekly online contest that offers students three clues to identify a
particular location in Wisconsin. There are over one thousand students
from across Wisconsin logging on each week to play the game and guess
the mystery city. Students who respond with the correct location are
entered in a drawing, making them eligible to win weekly prizes during
a visit to their classroom from the Governor's wife.
was selected among middle school students from across the state for
locating Mrs. Doyle in Luck, Wis. and was presented with his prizes at
Horace Mann by Jessica Doyle.
Joining Mrs. Doyle to congratulate Sam were State Representative Terry VanAkkeren and his wife Sue.
This is the sixth year of Mrs. Doyle's fun and educational geography
game. Each week during the school year, students fourth through eighth
grade have the opportunity to visit http://whereisjessica.wi.gov and
guess the mystery Wisconsin city based on three clues. New clues will
be posted starting January 16, 2008.
