Horace Mann Student Visited By Wisconsin's First Lady

Sam W., a seventh-grade student at Horace Mann Middle School, was recently chosen as the winner of the "Where in Wisconsin is Jessica Doyle?" contest.

"Where in Wisconsin is Jessica Doyle?" is a weekly online contest that offers students three clues to identify a particular location in Wisconsin. There are over one thousand students from across Wisconsin logging on each week to play the game and guess the mystery city. Students who respond with the correct location are entered in a drawing, making them eligible to win weekly prizes during a visit to their classroom from the Governor's wife.

Sam was selected among middle school students from across the state for locating Mrs. Doyle in Luck, Wis. and was presented with his prizes at Horace Mann by Jessica Doyle.

Joining Mrs. Doyle to congratulate Sam were State Representative Terry VanAkkeren and his wife Sue.

This is the sixth year of Mrs. Doyle's fun and educational geography game. Each week during the school year, students fourth through eighth grade have the opportunity to visit and guess the mystery Wisconsin city based on three clues. New clues will be posted starting January 16, 2008.
