South High AP Results Higher Than National Average

Sheboygan South High School Advanced Placement (AP) students had scores that were higher than much of the country in recent placement tests.

In 2008, 111 students from Sheboygan South High School took the AP exams with 54 percent earning scores of 3-5, well above the national average.

The highest score achievable is a 5. Typically, colleges across the nation will issue college credit for any student who scores a 3, 4 or 5; hence the significance of these scores.

Nationwide, only 15.2 percent of students taking the tests scored as high and in Wisconsin, 16.6 percent of those taking the tests scored 3-5.
