Two Lincoln-Erdman Students Complete 105 Mile Journey
In the second year of an ongoing walking program at Lincoln Erdman to encourage physical fitness, two brothers - Trevor and Tyler G. have completed the 105 miles of "Walking Northeast Wisconsin." The walking program, which started in the fall of 2008, recognizes students for every 15 miles completed on the 1/2 mile environmental and fitness trail at Lincoln Erdman School, the LEEF trail.
The boys will now begin the next walking phase that will take them across the state of Wisconsin. The accrued mileage leads students to different Wisconsin communities. Small incentives related to those communities are awarded and are designed to help students learn more about Wisconsin as well as develop an appreciation for the outdoors.
To date this school year, Lincoln-Erdman students have walked close to 4,000 miles!
