Grant School Raises $500 for Haiti
Grant School second graders bag popcorn to sell to fellow
students and staff.
Proceeds from the sale were donated to the Red Cross to
help the victims of Haiti.
Jolene Houser's second grade class at Grant Elementary School wanted to do something to help the people of Haiti. After brainstorming ideas, the students decided to have a popcorn sale so all proceeds could be donated to the Red Cross. Over $200 was raised from the popcorn sale. The student council added to the amount for a total donation of $500.
