Washington School Hosts Holiday Dinner
The Washington School for Comprehensive Literacy held its annual Holiday Dinner on December 16. During the evening, students had an opportunity to make gingerbread houses and picture frames, play holiday bingo, frost gingerbread cookies and read gingerbread books. All students in attendance received a gingerbread book to take home. The Gingerbread Man made a guest appearance during the meal. Organizers of the event stated that 74 families were represented; 255 students and family members enjoyed the evening. The holiday dinner was a success due to the many people who helped out, including 25 Washington staff members, 6 Boys & Girls Club representatives and 5 Kohl's employees.
