Lincoln-Erdman Pennies for Patients Drive a Success

Lincoln-Erdman Elementary School students and staff recently held a penny drive for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. Student Council members chose to help this worthwhile organization since leukemia has touched the lives of several families at Lincoln-Erdman School.

The Peter Betchkal family decided to help the school with its penny drive. Betchkal took up a collection in his office at Kohler Company and raised $445.76. The Lincoln-Erdman penny drive raised $609.02, giving a grand total of $1.054.78 raised for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
