The Wilson Elementary School Student Council collected $1,500 during its recent "Pennies For Patients" fundraiser. The money was donated to the Lymphoma Leukemia Society of Wisconsin and will benefit children with leukemia and lymphoma. In keeping with the school's motto that it is better to do something for others than to do something to others (4>2), students were encouraged to donate whatever change they could.
Each child received a locker sticker in recognition of his/her donation. A pizza party was awarded to the Andy Kautzer's kindergarten class for collecting the most money.
