Jackson and A2 Learn Sign Language during Deaf Awareness Week
Jackson Elementary School and A2 Charter School celebrated National Deaf Awareness Week September 19-23. There were 34 pictures of signs posted all over the building. If students were able to show a sign to staff interpreter, Michelle Smith, they received either a Top Hat Reward slip or a piece of candy. Students have shown great interest in learning sign language so they can communicate with a fellow student who is deaf.
