Public Education Foundation to Host 'Diploma Dash'
On Saturday, June 2nd, the Sheboygan Public Education Foundation will host a 1 mile grade school run/walk as well as a 5K run/walk. The "Diploma Dash" will commemorate educational achievement in Sheboyan as the run/walk will start and end at Vollrath Park, the historic site of the joint graduation of Sheboygan North and Sheboygan South High Schools. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Sheboygan Public Education Foundation in our mission to support educational programming in our Sheboygan public schools. To date, we have provided over $475,000 to fund unique projects, technology and humanitarian support that would otherwise have been unavailable.

An award will be given to the SASD school with the largest percentage of student and staff participation (one for elementary, one for middle, one for high schools). All SASD student participants will receive a participation award. In addition, all pre-registered 2012 graduates will receive a commemorative gift. An award will also be given to the largest team (other than a school team).

Participants will have an opportunity to select a tshirt color of their choice (blue-North, red-South, black-charter, yellow-SASD staff, green-sponsor, white-all other). In addition, future grads can label their shirt with their future graduation year, alumni can recognize their past graduation year and current seniors will commemorate their accomplishments with a "2012" shirt.

The entry fee for all event is $15 per person until May 18th, $20 per person after May 18th.
