September 15, 2021
Dear Sheboygan Area School District families,
I hope you all had a great start to the 2021-2022 school year! It is wonderful to see our students in our school buildings ready to learn.
We are proud of the many unique opportunities students have in our school district and are excited to see so many students engaged in classroom learning as well as sports, clubs, and activities outside of the school day.
Thank you for doing your part to keep illness out of our schools. It’s important for parents and caregivers to continue to monitor students for illness and keep children at home if they are experiencing COVID-like symptoms. Visit our website to view or print a Daily Screening document for use at home.
We are monitoring and updating two data points daily: student absences and a COVID-19 dashboard showing positive staff and student cases at each building. Both of these resources will be updated by 12 noon each school day with information from the previous school day.
All of our COVID-19 mitigation measures and data points are posted on our website at www.sheboygan.k12.wi.us/families/covid19.
School staff will continue to work with the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health on positive cases within our schools.
We will continue to communicate with families regarding health, safety, and any changes to our mitigation measures. Please ensure your contact information is up to date with your school office. You can also customize your communication preferences, including adding a phone number for text messages, in the Skylert tab in Skyward Family Access.
I encourage you to visit our Sheboygan Area School District website, our School Nurse Resources page, and the Sheboygan County Public Health School Resources for Parents page for the most up-to-date information.
