Office Max Makes Special Delivery to a Sheridan Elementary School Teacher
Mary Jo Opgenorth, a 4th and 5th grade teacher at Sheridan Elementary School was one of 1,000 teachers across the country chosen by Office Max out of thousands of nominees to be rewarded for their extraordinary efforts in the classroom. In a surprise visit, winners received $1,000 in school supplies for their classrooms, including notebooks, paper, arts and crafts, a camera, and even a desk chair. The boxes of supplies were delivered to her classroom by employees of Office Max. Office Max’s “A Day Made Better” school advocacy campaign works to erase teacher-funded classrooms.
