IDEAS Academy Students Gain Real World Perspective from Visiting Professionals
IDEAS Academy connects students' learning with professional disciplines through applied projects and interactions with professionals. Last week, Marci Tousey of Sheboygan's Yoga Loft came into Human Anatomy and Physiology class. Practicing yoga enhances the study of the muscular system by helping students feel how skeletal muscles work in antagonistic pairs. Scott Matula of Aspire Architecture & Design shared his expertise with the Engineering and Design class. Discussing the design process and consulting with a professional helps students engage in authentic, disciplinary problem-solving.
