Wilson School Encourages Positive Behavior with Olympic Challenge
Wilson Elementary School's Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) Committee introduced a special ’GO FOR THE GOLD' Olympics incentive at a Monday morning school assembly.
Each classroom chose a creative country name and designed a flag for the parade of nations. Following the opening ceremony students learned how following all the rules of good behavior, such as walking in hallways, being polite, playing cooperatively on the playground, and following lunchroom rules, which will result in classrooms receiving special gold medals. Classrooms are encouraged to work as a team. At the end of each week during February the medal count will be tallied for each classroom. After a classroom earns at least twenty gold medals they will be rewarded with extra physical activity time.
