Health Occupations Students of America is a student-led organization providing students the opportunity to make realistic career choices and seek successful employment in the health care field, encourage individual and group achievement, develop an understanding of current health care issues, environmental concerns, and survival needs of the community, the nation and the world, and encourage involvement in local, state and national health care and education projects.
NHS HOSA activities include: sponsoring HOSA week, ringing bells for Salvation Army, collecting funds for Salvation Army Health Department, making Valentine's Day cards for a local long-term care facility, making fleece hats for community members in need, educating youth on being healthy individuals, and many other activities. HOSA members also attend the State Leadership conference each Spring.
