Daniel McGoldrick grew up in Racine, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 2000 with a B.S. in English and Education and a minor in Psychology. He has been teaching for 16 years. He joined the staff of North High after spending thirteen years teaching just north along the lakeshore in Manitowoc where he taught everything from Freshman English, Sophomore English, Creative Writing, and junior and senior level International Baccalaureate English courses. He served as the International Baccalaureate Coordinator his last three years in Manitowoc. He currently teaches English 1 and 2 as well as Creative Writing and Film as Literature. In addition, he serves as a co-advisor for the National Honor Society. He has three children who are all members of the Sheboygan Area School District and is proud to have his two oldest walk the halls of North High. When not grading papers, he enjoys playing guitar, reading, taking walks in the woods, camping, canoeing and kayaking, writing and taking every opportunity possible to sit in front of a campfire. He is a passionate teacher who firmly believes every student deserves a chance to grow. He is constantly striving to grow as an educator himself, and has been known to go out of his way to engage learners in real and meaningful ways.
