NEW! SASD App
The SASD's new mobile app provides a way for you to strengthen the connection between school and home, providing a streamlined and consolidated hub for you to engage with what's going on at your students' schools, receive important messages, and stay informed.
These instructions have been updated.
Step 1: Download the app
Download the new mobile app on your iOS/Apple device by opening the Apple App Store on your device, or the Google Play Store on your Android device. Just search for Sheboygan Area School District!
Step 2: Enter Username & Create Password (updated directions!)
Parents and guardians will log in by entering their Skyward username, then click Next. (Hint: This username is the same one used to log in to Online Registration and includes the first five letters of your last name, the first three letters of your first name, and three numbers, like 000 or 001).
At the password screen, click 'Forgot Password' to create your own password for the SASD mobile app.
To keep our student information secure, your password must meet ALL of the following requirements:
- Must be at least 12 characters long
- Must include all of the following character types:
- Uppercase letters (A-Z)
- Lowercase letters (a-z)
- Numbers (0-9)
- Special characters
- (Cannot contain your username)
After you have created your password, return to the app to log in.
Step 3: Log in and click through the setup wizard
Now you will click through a series of screens to configure some initial settings.
- Language - You may be prompted to select your preferred language for the app to display.
- Schools - Subscribe to view the content of one or multiple schools by clicking on the toggle buttons.
- Notifications - Set up notification preferences.
Step 4: Check out the Chats section
Parents and guardians will see chat rooms for their students' classes. Teachers may share messages here.
Parents can also use the direct messages section to send a message to a teacher at their child's school.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The chat feature will not be fully functional until student schedules are finalized, and students and staff return to school.
Step 5: Browse through your new mobile app
Now you are ready to jump in and browse to find what interests you most!
- News at the top of your homescreen
- Events in the middle and lower areas of your homescreen
- Bottom toolbar will help you navigate
- Tap the More button to see what else the SASD has waiting for you!

Password Not Working?
Users can bypass the login screen for now. The login will display the chat feature, which will not be fully functional until student schedules are set and school starts.
If you are a parent and also an SASD staff member, you will have two separate logins for the SASD app.
- As a parent, you will log in with your Skyward AlphaKey for the username and create a password. (This can be found in your Skyward Financial account.)
- As a staff member, you will log in with your sasd.net email address and sign in with google.
