Community Flyers
As a courtesy to the community and in accordance with School Board Policy 9700 (Relations with Special Interest Groups), the Sheboygan Area School District permits flyers from non-profit organizations to be posted on the SASD website. A link to the community flyers is included in school newsletters.
Additionally, flyers will be considered if they meet the following criteria:
- The requester is a tax-exempt entity (e.g., charitable, educational, registered non-profit, governmental, etc.) or non-income generating community group, and not a self-employed individual/contractor/consultant or for-profit entity seeking to advertise or to recruit participants/customers in connection with the service, activity, or product offered by the person/entity
- The event is geared towards a school-related audience, offering educational and/or extra-curricular learning opportunities
- The cost to attend is minimal, ideally free of charge
- The flyer is submitted for approval at least 15 business days prior to the event
- The flyer has a contact number and website, if available, for anyone with questions on the event
- The flyer must include the following disclaimer: This is not a school-sponsored activity, and the Sheboygan Area School District does not approve, support, or endorse this program/activity.
To have your flyer considered, please send a PDF to web@sasd.net.
In the interest of equity of opportunity, persons, groups, or agencies seeking approval to post information to SASD students and/or families are strongly encouraged (1) to provide materials translated into the languages spoken by the families receiving the information; and (2) to offer scholarship or subsidy fees to low-income students if fees are requested for participation.
Failure to meet any of the specific requirements will result in the non-school-related materials not being posted through the DISTRICT website or schools. The SASD does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, creed, religion, marital or parental status, sexual orientation, or disability.
