SASD Cares
Across the district, our staff is deeply committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of every student so they can learn, grow, and do their very best each day. Through a coordinated, district-wide approach, educators, counselors, and support staff work together to create safe, inclusive, and responsive school environments. This includes ongoing professional learning in areas such as trauma-informed care, restorative practices, and mental health intervention, as well as the use of evidence-based programs, student supports, and universal screenings to identify and respond to student needs early. Staff also partner closely with families and community organizations to provide wraparound services, mentorship opportunities, and access to additional resources. From classroom lessons and advisory programs to individualized supports and crisis response, our teams are continually building strong relationships with students and ensuring they feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.
