Support for Unhoused Families

You May Qualify...
If you live in any of these situations...
- In a shelter
- Park or campground
- Motel or hotel
- Car or on the street
- Abandoned building
- Living temporarily with others due to loss of housing or economic hardship (doubled-up).
- Inadequate living accommodations such as lack of water or electricity.
- Unaccompanied youth* experiencing any of the circumstances above.
You also have the right to...
- Enroll immediately and attend classes
- Get help with documents required for enrollment
- Remain in your current school
- Receive school meals
- Participate in school activities and programs
- The support of a Community Liaison.
- Appeal or dispute decisions made by the district regarding eligibility, school selection, or enrollment
You may be eligible for services, including...
- Transportation to and from school
- School supplies
- Academic support and tutoring
- Referrals for housing
- Health care
- Food
- Referrals for other services.
*Unaccompanied youth- youth who are not in the physical custody of a parent or court-appointed guardian, such as runaways, youth who have been forced to leave their homes, or youth whose parents have left the area but left the student behind.

Your support of the McKinney-Vento program helps ensure students facing housing challenges don’t face them alone. Together, we can provide stability, dignity, and opportunity — one child, one family, one act of kindness at a time.
$25+ Provides a backpack full of school supplies they need for a successful day at school.
$30+ Provides a month of hygiene supplies - helping students feel clean and confident to learn throughout the day.
$50+ Provides a week of transportation needs allowing for a way to get to and from school when not on a bus route.
$100+ Provides a grocery gift card making sure our students are fed and ready to learn for the week.
