The staff members organize a family Thanksgiving every November where they serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal to students and their families. They also host a beloved event called Bedtime Books, where the students come back to school one evening in pajamas to hear the staff members read bedtime stories and enjoy milk and cookies. A fun Talent Show performed by students concludes each school year.
Cooper classrooms have SmartBoards, computers, document cameras, and access to iPads and iPad Minis to assist our students in the mastery of Wisconsin State Standards. Students also benefit from interaction with other students outside their classrooms through the school’s Reading Buddies initiative, which pairs younger and older students together to read.
Students at Cooper Elementary School can take part in co-curricular activities such as Student Council, Above the Influence, Running club, and Robotics club. Parents can get involved through the school’s Parent-Teacher Organization, which organizes family fun nights and several fundraisers to benefit the students throughout the school year. Cooper students are also able to enjoy breakfast in their classrooms each day starting at 8:00, which is free to everyone!
