The scheduling process for the 2023-2024 school year begins next week! Mr. Bonestroo and Mrs. Stauss will be visiting science classrooms throughout February to assist students with course selection for next school year.
All students have the option to sign up for Band or Orchestra, even if they have not previously played an instrument. For those students that sign up and have never played before, our Band and Orchestra teachers will contact their parents/guardians and those students will start lessons this spring.
8th grade students have the option to choose a World Language class (Spanish or French or German). It is a year long class and is held daily. For those students that choose a World Language class, they have the option to take a Virtual Phy. Ed. class. They would not have an in-person Phy. Ed. class but rather have an additional Allied Arts each semester.
Students will choose one of three options:
1. World Language class AND Virtual Phy. Ed. – Life Readiness and Family and Consumer Education (one semester each is required) AND student will choose TWO additional Allied Arts classes
2. World Language class only – Phy. Ed. year long, Life Readiness and Family and Consumer Education (one semester each is required). No other Allied Arts classes can be chosen.
3. NO World Language – Phy. Ed. year long, Life Readiness, Family and Consumer Education,PLTW, Tech. Ed., Art (one semester of each is required). Student will also choose ONE of the following: Choir OR General Music (Guitar).
