The Longfellow Line Leaders program is a leadership group for fifth grade students. The goal of the program is to develop and strengthen leadership skills of our fifth grade students through service learning and activities that promote our Longfellow PBIS expectations of:

  • Respect Self
  • Respect Others
  • Respect of the Environment

The group meets twice a month during lunch recess. The fifth grade Line Leaders work with partners and are assigned to a kindergarten through fourth grade classroom for the school year. They help line up classes each morning outside on the playground and lead the students into the building. They also help run the PAWS store where Longfellow students can use their PAWS slips to “buy” prizes. Line Leaders also help run the Longfellow Holiday Shoppe where Longfellow students are able to experience the joy of giving by selecting holiday gifts for their family members.

Longfellow is so proud of these outstanding fifth grade leaders!
