Longfellow Family Clinic Now Open to Serve Students & Families

October 9, 2024

We are excited to share that our Longfellow Family Clinic is now open to serve our students and families. The Longfellow Clinic provides primary care services such as immunizations, wellness exams, and annual physicals. It also provides acute care for sore throats, earaches, pink eye, the common cold, and more.

The Longfellow Family Clinic is a medical care clinic right inside our school entrance, offered in partnership with Lakeshore Community Health Care (LCHC). LCHC will provide care regardless of insurance status or family income level.

By providing care right at school, the Longfellow Family Clinic eliminates important barriers to care. Students and their families do not have to travel for medical care, so students can stay in school, parents do not have to leave work, and transportation is not needed.

What services will be offered?

  • Primary Care
  • Immunizations/Vaccines
  • Flu Shots
  • Physical Exams for School or Work
  • Acute Care (Sore throat, cough, flu, etc.)
  • Specialty Care Referrals, as needed

The Longfellow Clinic is open to students who currently attend Longfellow and all members of the students' household. Even if your child moves on to another school, your family can continue care right in your neighborhood at the Longfellow Family Clinic.

All forms of insurance are accepted. Uninsured patients receive affordable care on a sliding scale, based on income.

Lakeshore Community Health Care is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing access to comprehensive, integrated health care, regardless of ability to pay, eliminating health disparities among the underserved.
