Mercy Yang is a proud parent of Mason, Ian, and Isaac, all of whom are either attending or have previously attended Longfellow Elementary School. Ever since she decided to enroll her children in their neighborhood school, she has been impressed. The school's staff have done an outstanding job in ensuring that her children are not only learning but are also thriving in a safe and supportive environment. She couldn't be happier with her decision.

According to Mercy, “The teachers at Longfellow are phenomenal! All of them are easy to get a hold of, engaged, care about their students, and work hard to make their experience at school enjoyable.”

It’s easy to see - Longfellow prioritizes going above and beyond to make their students' learning experience fun and fulfilling.

Christine Boldt, a kindergarten teacher at Longfellow, remains a favorite among Mercy's children to this day. She has maintained a strong connection with them even after they have moved on to other grades by attending one of their soccer games, giving them gift cards for their first Disney trip in 2021, and even offering them a ride home one day. Mercy couldn't be more grateful for Boldt's unwavering dedication and love for her children.

But it's not only in one particular classroom where the student-teacher relationship shines - it's school-wide. Brian Kuznacic, a fifth-grade teacher at Longfellow, recently nominated Ian for the September Citizen of the Month award. Mercy believes that small gestures like this go a long way in encouraging children to maintain a positive attitude and make a difference in the world.
