Purpose of the Urban Middle School Student Council
- To develop attitudes and practices in good citizenship.
- To represent the student body and to set helpful examples for them.
- To provide orderly direction of school activities.
- To encourage student participation in school activities.
- To provide activities and services to the students as needed and allowed.
- To preserve the spirit and good name of the school by promoting good and proper relations throughout the school year.
- To promote the general welfare of the school.
- To install within each student a school spirit and loyalty.
- To improve relations among students and between students and teachers.
- To enjoy being part of an organization and to develop leadership skills.
