SASD Holds 4th Annual Senior Signing Day

The Sheboygan Area School District celebrated the graduating class of 2022 with the fourth annual Senior Signing Day on Thursday, June 2. Senior Signing Day is designed to recognize our seniors and their next steps in college and careers. High school graduates were joined by universities, technical colleges, military representatives, and area employers.

North High School celebrated 207 graduating seniors who have selected a total of 55 different post-secondary options. Of the students recognized at North High, 8 will be going into the military, 4 have been hired full-time by local employers, 32 will be attending a technical college, and 163 will be attending a 4-year college or university.

South High School celebrated 139 graduating seniors who have selected a total of 41 different post-secondary options. Of the students recognized at South High, 5 will be going into the military, 5 have been hired full-time by local employers, 34 will be attending a technical college, and 95 will be attending a 4-year college or university.

One of the goals of the Sheboygan Area School District’s long-range plan is to ensure that upon graduation all students will be prepared to successfully take the next step in their self-defined career pathway. Through the Academic and Career Planning process, which begins in sixth grade, students and their families are equipped with the tools necessary to make more informed choices about college and training options that lead to careers.
