The Sheboygan Area School District hosted the Regional Spelling Bee on February 10 at Urban Middle School. Sixteen students from public and private schools in Sheboygan competed through 14 rounds. Congratulations to all of the student spellers for their preparation, participation, and excellent spelling! To earn a spot at the Regional event, students earned first place at their school level Spelling Bee.

Congratulations to the top three regional finalists:

🥉 3rd place: Cole Spielman, 4th grade student at Lincoln-Erdman Elementary School

🥈2nd place: Reegan Cantrall, 6th grade student at Urban Middle School

🥇1st place: Anika Tiwari, 7th grade student at Warriner Middle School

As the first-place winner, Anika Tiwari will advance to the Badger State Spelling Bee on March 26 in Madison, WI.

Event judges included Seth Harvatine, Superintendent of Schools; Jake Konrath, Assistant Superintendent of Student and Instructional Services; Jim Renzelmann, Coordinator of Student and Instructional Services; and Kelly Blum, Coordinator of Student and Instructional Services.
