SASD Schools Recognized for Positive Student Outcome

Many Sheboygan Area School District schools have been recognized by Wisconsin’s Response to Intervention (RtI) Center for specific efforts in behavior, reading, and mathematics. The Recognized Schools Program encourages schools to expand, refine, and sustain full implementation of an equitable, multilevel system of supports with the mission to prepare every learner for college and career success.

The following SASD schools have been recognized for success in one or more categories:

  • CHANGE Academy - Silver level in the content area of behavior
  • Cleveland Elementary School - Silver level in the content area of behavior
  • Cooper Elementary School - Bronze level in the content area of reading
  • Farnsworth Middle School - Bronze level in the content area of behavior
  • Grant Elementary School - Bronze level in the content area of reading, and Bronze level in the content area of mathematics
  • Horace Mann Middle School - Bronze level in the content area of behavior
  • Jackson Elementary School - Silver level in the content area of behavior, and Bronze level in the content area of mathematics
  • James Madison Elementary School - Silver level in the content area of behavior
  • Jefferson Elementary School - Bronze level in the content area of reading, and Bronze level in the content area of mathematics
  • Longfellow Elementary School - Silver level in the content area of behavior
  • Sheridan Elementary School - Silver level in the content area of behaviorBronze in the content area of reading, and Bronze level in the content area of mathematics
  • Urban Middle School - Bronze level in the content area of reading, and Bronze level in the content area of mathematics
  • Wilson Elementary School - Silver level in the content area of behavior

By establishing this framework, our schools can increase the consistency of effective instruction for all students, build staff knowledge and skills to support all learners, use data to more quickly identify and provide support for students, and shift to a culture that supports stronger relationships with students and their families.
