Warriner Middle and High Schools recently presented a Women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Fair at the Mead Public Library! 

George D. Warriner Middle School Science Teacher Emma Jossart shared, "This project was such an eye-opening experience for our students! We spent time talking about the gender disparity in STEM fields before students interviewed or researched a woman in STEM." 

"It was exciting to see students take an interest in the work of their scientist through research or interviews, whether it was a historical figure that changed the course of scientific discoveries or a modern-day woman making strides in her field. Listening to students share at the event was the best part, especially when they connected personal thoughts or experiences with things they learned from their person. I hope to expand on this even more in the future!" said George D. Warriner High School Science Teacher Maggie Hafertepe.
