Art education is offered to students in kindergarten through 12th grade by talented artists and teachers. Art education is provided to all students at elementary school and is a required allied arts class in middle school. These classes provide a foundation for young artists to future explore more in-depth and specialty art classes at the high school level.

The Sheboygan Area School District is committed to providing Artist-in-Residence experiences to all K-12 students. Residencies provide opportunities for students to interact with a professional artist from the local community, make interdisciplinary curriculum connections, and solve problems creatively and collaboratively. Artist residencies provide a specialized, memorable art experience that would otherwise not be possible during the normal school day.

The month of March is designated nationally as Youth Art Month. In the Sheboygan Area School District we are proud to highlight student artwork in both local and regional exhibitions.
