Here We Grow Childcare Center offers a 4-year-old kindergarten (4K) program through a community partnership with the Sheboygan Area School District. Students build knowledge through exploration, discovery, scientific thinking and problem-solving.
Here We Grow 4K emphasizes development in mathematics, language, and literacy where students learn shape and color recognition, counting, identifying numbers and letters, rhyming and pre-reading skills. Students also learn to respect their teachers, peers, and the environment, develop large and small motor skills, and recognize healthy eating and lifestyles.
Here We Grow’s mission is to provide child care services to the families of Sheboygan and the surrounding area. This is accomplished through quality staff/child interactions that enable children to feel good about themselves and to be successful in their social relationships. Here We Grow believes that a safe environment, a variety of experiences and opportunities, and appreciation for the uniqueness of each child allows them to grow and learn in a happy, healthy, positive way.
A snack will be offered during 4K hours. Childcare is offered on non-school days and before/after school through Here We Grow Childcare Center. Students need to be enrolled in the center and care will be provided based on availability. Breakfast is provided for students attending before school care, and lunch is provided for students attending after-school care.
Here We Grow 4K follows the Wisconsin Early Learning Standards as well as Sheboygan Area School District’s standards and benchmarks.
