Cleveland Elementary School is proud to offer a wide variety of curricular choices in a close-knit family-friendly environment. Small class sizes allow staff to provide individual attention to students, fostering a caring and encouraging atmosphere.
Cleveland Elementary School teaching staff members hold advanced degrees and regularly participate in district leadership committees to use research-based instructional practices in the classroom. Students have a strong history of academic performance in state and district assessments. More importantly, the staff takes time to know each student in our school and takes pride in developing relationships to build success in social, emotional, and academic learning.
There is a strong tradition of community support for our school. Families are actively involved as well as community members. Classrooms are well equipped with materials for 21st century learning with SmartBoards, Chromebooks, and iPads. These tools are used to inspire all learners to creatively show what they know. Students are becoming more adept in keyboarding, collaborating electronically, and digital citizenship. In addition, our school is in a beautiful setting with a large playground to keep students’ minds and bodies active.
Cleveland Elementary School offers a before-school and after-school program to students in grades K-5. Fourth and fifth grade students may serve on student council to promote service to their school and community. Cleveland Elementary School has an active Parent Teacher Organization that organizes a variety of events monthly throughout the school year. Events include Open House Picnic, Walk to School Breakfast, Halloween Carnival, Family Holiday Shop, Family Movie Night, Family Game Night, Cleveland Presents, Family Fun Night, and an End of the Year program for staff, students, and families. The PTO also sponsors field trips for all grades.
Cleveland Elementary is also unique as it offers a four-year-old kindergarten (4K) program within our building that aligns with Wisconsin Early Model Learning Standards in a creative play rich environment. Students in the 4K program attend school half-days four days per week.
