About Cooper Elementary School

Cooper Elementary is a friendly neighborhood school that is committed to establishing a safe, respectful, and responsible learning environment. Every day, you can see students walking and riding their bikes and scooters to and from school. A traditional elementary school, Cooper offers a strong record of student success with solid academic performance on state standardized tests.

Cooper Elementary School holds many special events throughout the year. Our annual Winter Sing is a favorite. We also hold “Cooper Celebrations”, they are held throughout the year during the day for our students to enjoy.

Cooper classrooms have New Line Boards or Smart Boards, computers, document cameras, and 1 to 1 availability of iPads in grades K-2 and Chromebooks in grades 3-5 for classroom use to assist our students in the mastery of Wisconsin State Standards. Students also benefit from interaction with other students outside their classrooms through the school’s Reading Buddies initiative, which pairs younger and older students together to read. Classes enjoy using the “Reading Garden”, our outdoor classroom area in nice weather.

Older students at Cooper Elementary School can take part in co-curricular activities such as Student Council and Coding Club. Parents can get involved through the school’s Parent-Teacher Organization, which organizes family fun nights and several fundraisers to benefit the students throughout the school year. Cooper students are also able to enjoy breakfast in their classrooms each day starting at 8:00, which is free to everyone!
