George D. Warriner High School

About Warriner High School

While Warriner High School is technically classified as an “online school,” it approaches online learning differently. The school offers hybrid classes that require both online and face-to-face components resulting in higher graduation and college enrollment rates than other online high schools. Schedules are designed to meet the needs of each student and their family, including exclusively online, daily in-person attendance, or a combination of both online and in-person coursework.

Education at Warriner High School

The educational process at George D. Warriner High School begins with a personalized learning plan. This process brings the student, parent(s), and advisor together to set individual goals and create a learning plan that ensures student success and the attainment of educational and post-secondary goals. These goals are achieved through the flexibility of the Four Pillar curriculum model, while the structure of the school can fit the needs of any family.

The Four Pillar approach of online/blended, project-based, early college, and career readiness at Warriner High School allows for a curriculum that encompasses the whole student. This perfect mix of rigorous curriculum allows students to master skills and essential learning necessary to establish a path for future success in college.

Regular meetings with an advisory group provide the support and social experience not often found in an online school. Access to online coursework offers students over 400 virtual courses and over 20 advanced placement (AP) courses. Students also meet with their advisor bi-weekly to encourage continuous success.

With small class sizes and a personalized approach, students always have the support and guidance they need to reach their full potential. Warriner helps students gain the knowledge and skills they need and assists them in planning for their future.

Programming at Warriner includes learning math and science outdoors at Maywood every Tuesday and Thursday. Expanded art and design courses round out the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) curriculum.

Beyond the school day, students are invited to participate in a wide variety of enrichment activities through an after-school program, including but not limited to technology club and eSports.
