4K Partnership Opportunities

All classrooms follow all Head Start Program Performance Standards and Wisconsin Child Care Licensing Rules. All teaching staff follow the Frog Street Curriculum for Preschool that supports individualization and growth. The educational program provides a positive social and emotional setting where young children will gain knowledge, self-confidence and self-discipline while participating in activities that encourage creativity, curiosity, self-expression and healthy development. All teachers have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and hold a current Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction(DPI) Teaching License.

In addition to preparing children for kindergarten, Head Start offers several screenings during the year including hearing, vision, developmental, and dental. Free breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided.

Sheboygan County Head Start is not only a preschool. Each family is assigned a family advocate that works with the family to set goals, help them find community resources and identify family strengths and needs. Head Start has opportunities for parents to be involved in program planning and decision making, volunteer in classrooms, work with teachers to establish individual goals for their children, establish goals for themselves and their families, and participate in family enrichment activities including monthly family activities.

Our goal is to create a healthy environment that will enable parents and children to learn and grow in order to make a positive impact within their communities.
