Academics at Cooper School

Cooper School strives to provide all students with a variety of learning opportunities. We provide enrichment opportunities through our Makerspace and our instrumental music program. Students are provided with additional support through the ELI, ELL, and Special Education services. Please use the links on the left for more information about each of these programs and services.

Literacy Intervention

Literacy Intervention program is an intense reading support group for  students. Students with multiple reading concerns are the typical candidates for intervention.

English Learners (ML)

To ensure students acquire sufficient English proficiency and to enable them to function successfully in the classroom and society the ML curriculum is content-based and reflect mainstreamed curriculum whenever possible, and students are placed at age-appropriate grade levels regardless of English language proficiency.

Instrumental Music

Beginning band is open to all 5th-grade students. We offer instruction on flute, oboe, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone and combined percussion.
