The Jefferson School Library welcomes students and staff to utilize our ever-growing and changing collection of reading and learning materials. All classrooms are scheduled for weekly, or bi-weekly visits to allow time for students to choose books for independent reading. During research units, students have access to a wide variety of books and online resources to assist in their discovery of new knowledge.
Mrs. McHugh is the full-time library assistant and technology support person. Ms. Vollmer is the librarian and is here on Monday. They work together to encourage and support life-long reading habits, help students and staff locate materials in the library and online resources. Ms. Vollmer is at three other libraries in the district through the week, but can be reached by email anytime.
To assist in learning about the many ways parents, students, and staff can interact with these devices, the SASD Instructional Technology Coaches have created a website with all the information you will need. And if you don't see something there, they have forms to contact them also. Please visit the SASD Instructional Technology Coach website frequently.
Listed here are the SASD policies and handbooks that contain guidelines for responsible behavior in and out of school.
