📖 Jefferson Elementary School is excited to share the new addition of a Book Vending Machine! This innovative concept was brought to life with the generous support of the Black Spring Foundation and the school’s Literacy Committee, led by Early Literacy Interventionist (ELI) teacher Kim Reinhart. The vending machine was on display for families at the school's Open House on August 30.
“We plan to use the Book Vending Machine to motivate students to read and become lifelong learners,” said Principal True Vang. Children will be able to use the new Book Vending Machine throughout the school year. They will also receive a token for their birthday that can be used to purchase a book.
Every student who attended the Open House event received a token for a free book. What a fun and engaging way to make reading exciting for students!
