Our art installation created by our LCA students is complete and displayed in Founder's Hall! At our beginning of the year kickoff, we drew inspiration from the book, "The Dot," by Peter H. Reynolds. We read about how each of us has the power to make our mark to see where it will take us! Each student was able to design their own individual "dot," and then we gathered and connected them all together. We can see that each of us is unique, but when we are connected to one another something amazing can be created! We continue to connect with each other, ourselves, and our learning this year at Lake Country Academy!
Our first Spirit Day will be Friday, September 30. Students are encouraged to wear their LCA Spirit Wear shirts or any blue and white. They do not need to wear their uniforms on Spirit Days. We offer short sleeve shirts, long sleeve shirts, and hoodies with the LCA logo, ranging $10-$24 per item. Stop in the office if you are interested.
Looking for more STEM experiences for your daughter? We have two opportunities coming up in our community:
"Tea and Tech" at Mead Public Library, 9:30-4:30 p.m.
Girls STEM Day Conference for 6-9th grades at South High on Saturday, Nov. 5, 8-12 pm http://urezsignup.com/event/register.php?event_id=491122
Each month at Lake Country Academy we focus on one core virtue. Our core virtues allow our school community to talk about character traits that make all of us good citizens in our school, city, and world! Our school community constantly engages in cooperation throughout the day to ensure that all of a child's needs are tended to--both at LCA and at home. We view our staff and parents/guardians as partners in ensuring that students are successful in school. How can you be a partner in your child's education?
We see student success in the classroom when our staff members and parents/guardians are working together to ensure the student is reaching his/her full potential! Thank you for helping model cooperation between home and school this month, and throughout the year, as we educate your child(ren) at LCA.
