Each month our entire school focuses on a different core virtue. September's virtue focus is TEAMWORK! This is a great virtue to begin with as we start our school year as there are so many things in and around our school that are only accomplished by staff and/or students working together in big and small teams. Our definition of teamwork is "when a group of people work together to complete a task." We begin each month with our all-school assembly to discuss the core virtue together and then the following two weeks take place in our classrooms for age-appropriate activities and discussions revolving around the core virtue. Teamwork is a "people skill" that everyone needs to learn and practice to be a productive citizen, and, at LCA, we are happy to help students practice this skill with their peers. Below you can see some pictures from our staff and students engaged in learning about teamwork during our first three weeks! You can reinforce the importance of this core virtue into your home, as well.
Rainbow Kids offer support for adults and children who may be dealing with a difficult life event. The fall session will meet weekly on Thursdays, October 5 - November 16, at Ebenezer Church. Please see attached flyer for more information or email Shanda Yang,
