Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher conferences are held in October of each year. Parents of 4K-5th graders will schedule one 15-minute conference with their child's homeroom teacher.

Parents of middle schoolers will be signing up for a 30-minute conference. This format lets parents meet one-on-one with each of their child's Math, History, Science, Spanish, and English Language Arts teachers for approximately 5 minutes. (Parents with multiple students in middle school can either sign up for back-to-back 30-minute conferences or two parents can attend the same conference time but split up to cover each child.)

Please email the office: office@lakecountryacademy.com with any questions.

Application Process

Completing a timely application is critical to enrollment at Lake Country Academy. Applications are divided by in-district/out-of-district and grade and a lottery is drawn for each grade. Applications are drawn one by one until the class is full and then drawn for placement on the waiting list. Note that an application is received for each student, not a family. In some cases, one child may be placed while another in the same family may remain on the waiting list.

Uniforms

The LCA Governing Board has adopted a uniform policy for all students in grades 4K-8th. The purpose of the policy is to:

  • Provide an environment where students can focus more on learning.
  • Reduce distraction and loss of self-esteem caused by teasing or competition over clothing.
  • Minimize disruption from wearing inappropriate clothing or possessing inappropriate items at school.
  • Create a greater sense of community and school pride.

It is the policy of Lake Country Academy to regulate the attire of students during the school day. All students in grades PK-8 shall wear a school uniform. In addition, the uniform policy covers "head to toe" therefore all hair- styles, accessories and footwear must be in compliance.
