Resources for Lake Country Academy Families

At Lake Country Academy, we offer many resources for families. We also have opportunities with Fundraising, PTO, and Volunteering!

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher conferences are held in October of each year. Parents of 4K-5th graders will schedule one 15 minute conference with their child's homeroom teacher.

Parents of middle schoolers will be signing up for a 30 minute conference. This format lets parents meet one-on-one with each of their child's Math, History, Science, Spanish and English Language Arts teacher for approximately 5 minutes. (Parents with multiple students in middle school can either sign up for back-to-back 30 minute conferences or two parents can attend the same conference time but split up to cover each child.)

Application Process

Completing a timely application is critical to enrollment at Lake Country Academy. Applications are divided by in-district/out-of-district and grade and a lottery is drawn for each grade. Applications are drawn one by one until the class is full and then drawn for placement on the waiting list. Note that an application is received for each student, not a family. In some cases, one child may be placed while another in the same family may remain on the waiting list.

Enrollment

The 2020-21 enrollment period for Lake Country Academy and the Sheboygan Area School District has begun and we are accepting applications for admission through Feb. 7th. We receive the most applications from family and friends of our current families. Thank You for spreading the word about LCA and recommending our school!

Applications will be available in the office and on our website. Additionally, a School Choice/Intra-District Charter School Transfer Form must be completed and can be done through the SASD website.

If you would like more information about LCA, please call 920-208-3020.

Thank you for considering Lake Country Academy!

Uniforms

The LCA Governing Board has adopted a uniform policy for all students in grades 4K-8th. The purpose of the policy is to:

  • Provide an environment where students can focus more on learning.
  • Reduce distraction and loss of self-esteem caused by teasing or competition over clothing.
  • Minimize disruption from wearing inappropriate clothing or possessing inappropriate items at school.
  • Create a greater sense of community and school pride.

It is the policy of Lake Country Academy to regulate the attire of students during the school day. All students in grades PK-8 shall wear a school uniform. In addition, the uniform policy covers "head to toe" therefore all hair- styles, accessories and footwear must be in compliance.

Uniform Policy

It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to ensure that their child dresses in conformity with the requirements of this policy. It is the recommendation of the administration that parents/guardians hold their children to the highest standard in regards to school attire. Parents/guardians should support the Board's efforts to create a level playing field for all students at LCA and reduce many existing distractions, disruptions and safety concerns relating to student attire. Parents/guardians should further support the Board's effort to maintain a serious educational environment that is conducive to learning and that helps to prepare LCA's students for future success in the professional workplace.

School personnel should serve as role models for proper attire in the educational setting. School personnel should ensure that all students adhere to the School Uniform policy. The administration reserves the right to make the final decision on any clothing, accessory or hairstyle that may challenge the Uniform Policy. All students shall wear selected Lands' End uniform clothing and follow all other guidelines outline in the Uniform Policy.
