Technology in the Classroom

What is Used

Technology is used every day at LCA to enhance learning and expand growth. Google Apps for Education is the main platform we use, which is a suite of tools supported by Google for the use of teachers and students. Google Docs, Google Sheets and other applications offered in Google for Education are accessible to students during and after classes when needed.

Chromebooks

Here at LCA, we have over 510 Chromebooks for our students to use! Grades Kindergarten - 8th grade use Chromebooks daily, to utilize the Google Suite and other academic websites.

Some of these websites include Lexia, IXL 

Newline Interactive Panels

Our Newline Interactive Panels are provided to each of our homeroom teachers, grades Kindergarten - 8th grade. These boards provide an extensive list of resources to ensure success in the classroom. Some of the features include the use of 20-point touch, a built-in whiteboard and many other helpful tools. These tools and resources help students expand their knowledge and think more creatively.

Through the Newline Boards, classrooms also have access to Google, Google Maps, educational videos on YouTube and the ability to annotate live over any source that is only a touch away on the Newline Panel.
