Dear Sheboygan Area School District families,
We are continuing to closely monitor student illness and positive COVID-19 cases. You can view the most up-to-date COVID information on our website at https://www.sheboygan.k12.wi.us/families/covid19
COVID-19 Testing is one of our mitigation strategies. COVID-19 testing will soon be available free of charge at a majority of school locations in the Sheboygan Area School District and is available to all students, staff, and families.
The testing site at Horace Mann Middle School will open starting on Thursday, September 30 for any student, staff, or family to utilize. The testing site will be open from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and is located inside the school. *Please note: there is road construction on Union Ave, so families will need to enter on Georgia Ave. and follow the signs to the circle driveway in front of the school.
Visit our website at https://www.sheboygan.k12.wi.us/families/covid19/sasd-covid-19-testing-sites for locations, times, and additional testing site information. Please watch the webpage for opening dates of the other school testing sites.
To Utilize the Testing Sites:
Enhanced Mitigation Efforts will begin Monday, October 11
Now that testing will soon be widely available within the Sheboygan Area School District, we are enhancing our COVID-19 Testing mitigation efforts to meet the needs of our families as we enter cold and flu season.
We have recently enhanced our parent communications and will send letters in the event of multiple cases in an elementary grade level or when there is increased illness within a school. In both of these instances, we strongly encourage families to utilize our SASD testing sites.
Seth A. Harvatine
Superintendent of Schools
