SASD Welcomes New School Leaders for the 2023-24 School Year

The Sheboygan Area School District welcomes new school and district leaders for the 2023-2024 school year:

Josh Kestell has been named the new Principal at Central High School. Mr. Kestell has previously served as the Principal of CHANGE Academy and Associate Principal at South High School. He has worked in the SASD for 20 years.

Andrew Meyer has been hired as the new Principal at CHANGE Academy. In addition, he will also serve as Coordinator of Special Education. Mr. Meyer most recently served as the Dean of Students at South High School and has previously worked as a teacher at CHANGE Academy. He has worked in the SASD for nearly 18 years. 

Benjamin Steen has been hired as the Dean of Students at South High School. Prior to his role at South High, Mr. Steen was a Physical Education and Health Teacher at Central High School for 4 years.

Kathryn McKillip is the new Principal at the Early Learning Center. Ms. McKillip has been serving in an Early Childhood Special Education Program role in the Fond du Lac School District since July 2020. Previously, Ms. McKillip served as the Special Education Teacher and Occupational Therapist for the Slinger School District.

Brian Hinn is the new Interim Principal at Longfellow Elementary School. Prior to taking this role, Mr. Hinn was an Assistant Principal and teacher at Horace Mann Middle School. He has worked in the District for 9 years.

Noah Kaufman has been hired as the Interim Assistant Principal at Horace Mann Middle School. Mr. Kaufman was previously the Dean of Summer School at Wauwatosa West High School and also taught a variety of subjects including Broad Field Social Studies, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, and Psychology at schools in the Milwaukee area.

"Our new school administrators have a wide variety of educational experiences and demonstrated leadership skills that will enable them to effectively serve our school communities," said Seth Harvatine, Superintendent of the Sheboygan Area School District. “Please join me in welcoming them to their new positions.”
