Dear Sheboygan Area School District families,

I hope you all have a great start to the 2022-2023 school year! It will be wonderful to see our students back in school buildings, ready to engage in classroom learning, sports, clubs, and all of the other activities our district offers. We are also excited to welcome over 115 new staff members to our district this fall!

We are proud of the many unique opportunities students have in our school district. In today’s education landscape, I recognize there are options available as to where students can learn. I want to thank you for choosing to be part of the Sheboygan Area School District. We are committed to making this school district a place that is valued and recognized by families, students, and the community for its quality educational and recreational programming.

Breakfast and lunch will be offered at no charge for students this year. The USDA provided free meals for the last two years, and the Sheboygan Area School District prioritized school nutrition funds to continue to offer meals at no cost to students for this school year.

You can find our current COVID-19 mitigation measures posted on our website at www.sheboygan.k12.wi.us/families/covid19. As always, please keep your children home from school if they are ill. We will monitor daily student absences due to illness and post an updated report by 12 noon each school day with information from the previous school day.

We plan to provide on-site COVID testing in partnership with COVID Clinic and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services for students and staff at five locations this school year. At this time the clinics are currently closed, but we hope they will re-open soon. Unfortunately, due to new regulations from DHS, parents and non-school-age children will no longer be able to be tested at our school sites. View COVID Testing information here.

Please watch your email for our monthly newsletter which provides information from the district and also highlights stories from our schools. I also encourage you to follow the Sheboygan Area School District on your favorite social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn so you can stay connected to all of the great things happening in the Sheboygan Area School District!

We are looking forward to a great school year!

Sincerely,
