The Presidential Excellence Award is an opportunity to recognize students whose 4th grade Math or Reading Forward Exam scores were in the 80th percentile, while also earning a reading or math score placing them in the top 15% of our district on the 5th grade Winter STAR assessment and also earning 3s and 4s on their 4th and 5th grade report cards in the areas of Language Arts Effort, Timely Language Arts Work Completion, Mathematics Effort, Timely Mathematics Completion, Cooperation with Others, Following Directions, Demonstrating Self Control and Working Independently. These students are recognized at a district ceremony in May.
The Presidential Achievement Award is designated for students who are recognized by their teacher as meeting several of the Excellence requirements. These students are recognized at the 5th grade celebration.
