Fitness Classes

The Community Recreation Department offers a variety of fitness classes for adults.

Important information about our fitness classes:

  • Sheboygan Area School District residents residing in Cleveland, Centerville, and Mosel add $3.00 to the listed fee.
  • Middle & High School students may register at half the listed fee.
  • No children are allowed in the gym while fitness classes are being conducted.
  • If school is canceled, fitness classes are canceled. Call 920-208-5805 or follow @RecDeptClosings on Twitter or check out our Facebook page.
  • PRRC is the Pigeon River Rec Center 3506 N 21st St

TNT is a personal exercise program that uses dumbbells, dyna bands, and your own body weight to get a full body workout.  Personal because you choose the weight that is appropriate for you to start to build strength.  Use TNT as a preventative to age related conditions such as falling/balance issues, osteoporosis (build strong bones), improves mental health and mood, lowers risk of heart disease and diabetes--gives you an overall better quality of life.

This 1/2 hours class is walking indoors to the bear of the music for cardiovascular conditioning. Each song will set the rate of the walk for a slower warm-up pace, building to and sustaining a faster walk, followed by a slower beat to bring the heart rate down. The class will end with stretching. Even a 1/2 hour walk can provide numerous benefits: increased cardiovascular and pulmonary (heart and lung) fitness, reduced the risk of stroke and heart attack, can improve joint and muscle stiffness, build strong bones and improve balance, and increase endurance.
