Community Recreation Department Registration

Community members who wish to participate in a program through the Community Recreation Department can register online, on paper, or in person.

Registration Information

You may register online any time, 24 hours a day.  As of Oct 23 we have switched to a new registration program called CIVIC. You will need to create your account before registering for classes.

    Paper registrations may be mailed in or dropped off prior to the first day of registration. They will be held and randomly entered on registration day.

    Follow these steps to register on paper:

    1.  On a piece of paper include what class code and class you would like. Include an alternate choice for an activity if your first choice is filled before your form is processed. Include name, address, phone, and email of person registering.
    2. Include payment in the form of cash, check, or credit card information. Residents & non-residents have different fees. You must send the correct amount. Make checks payable to: Community Recreation Department. 
    3. Mail to or drop off: Community Recreation Department 3330 Stahl Rd Sheboygan, WI 53081. A secure drop box is located on the exterior of the building by door #3.
    4. Include an email address on your form for an email confirmation. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for a paper confirmation.

    In-person registration will have a start date listed.

    Register with the assistance of Rec Department staff during regular business hours.  We accept the following forms of payment: cash, check, Visa, Mastercard.

    Recreation Department Policies

    Keep track of your selections. If you do not hear from us you can assume you are enrolled in the class. We will call you if you receive your second choice or if the class is full. Confirmations for registrations will be sent only when an email address or a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided with your registration materials.

    Residents of the Sheboygan Area School District residing in the Towns of Cleveland, Centerville, and Mosel are considered Resident and no extra fee is required.

    The Community Recreation Department adheres to age limits. Participants should be the stated age by the first day of class.

    The use of all tobacco products or drinking of alcoholic beverages on SASD premises is prohibited by state law.

    1. Classes cancelled by Community Recreation Department will be fully refunded.
    2. If you drop out of a program before it begins, you will receive a full refund minus $2.00 service fee.
    3. If you drop out prior to the second half of a program, you will receive a 50% refund minus $2.00 service fee.
    4. No refund will be given after the start of the second half of programs.
    5. Refunds for classes may be left on account for future class registrations.

    In CIVIC Sheboygan Area School District Residents 60 years and over may receive a discount for most programs. See individual courses for details. 

    If we do not meet our minimum requirement, classes will be cancelled with refunds issued or you may transfer to a different class.

    A resident is any individual whose primary residence is in the Sheboygan Area School Recreation Tax District. Individuals residing in these areas support Community Recreation programs through their recreation tax.   All other individuals pay the non-resident fee. See specific program for registration costs.
