The Nu Dawn Club is a club serving people with special needs.

The Nu Dawn Club was originated by Eleanor Kaiser, on November 1, 1952. Eleanor was active with the Nu Dawn Club for sixteen years. In the beginning, the club consisted of four members and gradually grew as the interest increased. Today the club has over 150 active members!
The Community Recreation Department sponsors the club which supplies program leaders, facilities, and activity materials.
The Club meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at Horace Mann Middle School.
TIME FOR 2019-2020 IS 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Any person 18 years of age and older who is physically or cognitively disabled is eligible to join. Members must come with caregiver if they need assistance with feeding or toileting.
Annual $16.00 club fees are used to supplement supplies and special activities. Club year is September-June. Please note that Caregivers are expected to pay the appropriate fee is they are going to participate.
Member must provide or arrange their own transportation. Regional Transport is available by calling 459-3420.
Participants must be picked up promptly at 7:00 p.m. at all scheduled meetings.
If the weather is bad please call the Rec Dept Cancellation hotline at 208-5805 to see if the event is canceled.
