Dear Sheboygan Area School District Families,

We are happy to announce that KidStop Before and After School Care will be offered at no-cost to families for the 2022-2023 school year. KidStop is a partnership between the Sheboygan Area School District Community Recreation Department, Boys & Girls Clubs of Sheboygan County, and the Sheboygan County YMCA to offer high-quality, on-site before and after school care.

One of the goals of the Sheboygan Area School District Long Range Plan is to ensure all students have access to high-quality activities before and after school. The KidStop partnership meets this need by providing a safe and affordable place for students before and after school as well as offering structured and self-guided activities. ESSER III grant funds will be used to offer free child care for the 2022-23 school year.

KidStop will offer three program options for students in grades 5K-5th:

  • Before School Care only
  • After School Care only
  • Before & After School Care

Please complete this {FORM CLOSED online registration form} for each child you would like to enroll. Registration forms are due by Friday, May 27. After the deadline, students may be added to a wait list based on space availability.

More information about KidStop Before and After School Care can be found on the Sheboygan Community Recreation Department website.

If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the Community Recreation Department at (920) 459-3773.

Sincerely,

Seth A. Harvatine
Superintendent of Schools

Please note: Jefferson, Longfellow, and Sheridan Elementary Schools operate independent before and after school programs funded through a 21st Century Community Learning Center (CLC) grant. If your child attends Jefferson, Longfellow, or Sheridan, please contact those school offices for information about their before and after school programs.

If your child attends Lake County Academy and Sheboygan Leadership Academy, please contact the school for more information on before or after school care.
